Captions

Add more personality to your BeReal by adding a caption. A caption can only be added to your current BeReal. 

Add a Caption

1. Tap “Add a caption” under your most recent BeReal. 
2. When finished, tap enter.

Mention a friend

1. To mention a friend in a caption, type @ followed by their BeReal full name or username. 
2. Select their name from the list of friends that appears.

Edit or Delete a Caption

1. Tap your current caption under your BeReal. 
2. Modify or remove the caption and tap enter. 

Comments 

You can leave comments on your friend’s BeReal. Comments are public and can be viewed by the friends of your friend. 

Add a Comment

1. Tap the option to add or view comments under your friend’s BeReal. 
2. Write your comment and tap “Send”.

Mention a friend

1. To mention a friend in a comment, type @ followed by their BeReal full name or username. 
2. Select their name from the list of friends that appears.

Delete a Comment

1. Tap the option to view comments under your friend’s BeReal. 
2. Long-press your comment. 
3. Tap the option to delete.

You can delete any comments at any time on your own BeReal. Your friend is not notified when you delete a comment. 

Real tip! Captions and comments are now saved to Memories.
